Who we are

Design designing a home can feel overwhelming, especially when the terms interior design, designer and interior decorator often are used interchangeably. While they were hand and hand, they serve very different roles.

At Home/Body Studio, I specialize in Interior decorating - Focus focusing on how your space looks, feels, and functions for your everyday life, without the stress of construction or contractor coordination.

What an interior designer does:

Interior designers typically work on the structural and technical side of the space.

They often handle:

  • Floorplans and layout changes

  • Structural design decisions

  • Construction documents

  • Working directly with contractors and tradesmen

  • Permits, codes, and building regulations

  • Full renovations and remodels

This role is ideal when you’re moving walls, reworking, plumbing, or starting from the studs.

What an interior decorator (that’s me) does:

Interior decorating is all about bringing a space to life once the bones are in place.

I focus on:

  • Furniture selection and layout

  • Styling and accessories

  • Color palettes and finishes

  • Lighting, rugs, art and textiles

  • Creating warmth, flow, and cohesion

  • Making your space feel intentional, elevated, and lived-in
